I'm about to sit down and start writing the FAQ, and I need to know what questions to include.  I'll go through the forums and pick out good ones, but I figured I'd put this here, as well.

Questions posted in the other areas of the forums are likely to get answered, but I won't try to answer the questions you post here (at least not in the forums).  Instead, I'll consider them for the F.A.Q.

Thanks!  Smiley

Where will these books be available for purchase?
Will there be a member book exchange if a person is finished with a book (kind of a green / recycling project)?

I know this is the forum for questions, but I just have to answer this one...  Books are not the end result of BookLamp, just as music is not the end result of Pandora.  BookLamp recommends the books, then you get them wherever you normally get them.

Will BookLamp be a free service?

If so,

How will BookLamp financially support itself?

I think this goes without saying, but

What scales does BookLamp use to rate the books?

and

How are these ratings determined?

Here are some FAQ's - some more obvious than the others.

Is there any way I can search for a book?

Where can I find more information on a book?

Why can't I find a book I want?

Can I give you my book to run through your algorithm?

Where can I buy this book?

Why does the generic book cover say "non-confusing?"
(Wink)

And finally - What the heck is this book People in the Dark and Why have i never heard of it? - OK - I had to put that in Smiley

I had this great idea I wanted to run by you!  Where can I contact you at?

If I really enjoy a book, can I rate it on your site?

I figure this is a good one since I'm thinking it right now.   Wink

Is there any way I can help get this project off the ground?

Will BookLamp aim to partner with social book-catalog sites such as Shelfari or LibraryThing etc ?,
Or otherwise create it's own online cataloging service?

Because I'm curious...

What are you and the team doing right now?

Besides catching up on sleep and endlessly haunting the forums.   Cheesy

Will you be including short stories/anthologies, poetry, nonfiction, or books in languages other than English?

What if I don't like, or am not familiar, with any of the books on the initial list?

Is the list always going to be limited to just these few authors and titles or do you plan to add or as time goes on? I would love to see this expanded to include all titles and authors. I have gotten so tired of trying to find books by authors I like or books like the ones I like. This would be the ult
