I really like the idea, but I wonder about the effectiveness of the metrics.  The Pandora approach is fine...but "density" as a way to match books I might like for example, doesn't work for me.

Books >< music

Try theme, literacy level, etc

It's interesting that you'd choose density as your example, since I think it's probably one of the most important metrics there are for many people.

I wonder if you are thinking of density in the same way that we're using it, having to deal with complexity of words, sentence complexity, the amount of times you have to break your trend of thought before the end of the sentence.  Your mention of literacy level makes me think that you have an incorrect image of what "density" is as we refer to it, since literacy levels - such as the flesch kincaid reading system - would be considered a fairly simplistic version  of some of the metrics we track and include in Density, among other things.
