Recommendations?

I'm a huge fan of Ayn Rand's work. I've finished all of her fiction and nonfiction works. My problem, however, is that whenever I try to read fiction now, it never compares to Rand's fiction. I'm looking for fiction with a complex story and some substance behind it. Something that really requires the reader to think, something that isn't just a story. Any recommendations for fiction work similar to hers or close to equal in terms of complexity and substance would be excellent!
Thanks!
